Jonah Lehrer

Author and editor Jonah Lehrer is a smart man. Not only has he worked with nobel prize winner Eric Kandel, he's also a massive fan of Virginia Woolf and Noam Chomsky. Lehrer is famed for two books, 'How We Decide' and our current favourite 'Proust Was A Neuroscientist'. These are largely based on evolutionary psychology, investigating the primordial nature and development of our actions.

'Proust was a Neuroscientist' sets out to dispel the myth, that the creative thinker is incapable of reaching scientific conclusions. Lehrer actually suggests that musician Igor Stravinsky, artist Paul Cezanne, and even chef Auguste Escoffier made pivotal breakthroughs, way ahead of their scientific counterparts. Well worth a read!
